Looking to cycle spot-starters each day? Check out the Stream Team, where we tab pitchers that are likely to help you in your quest for fantasy gold.We earned a pretty solid start from Wade Davis on Wednesday. The rookie Ray only gave up two earned runs in 5.2 innings in a no-decision, and a 6/1 K/BB ratio speaks to an even better performance than the final line indicates. He's definitely on the watch list for next year. Today, Bronson Arroyo pitched another gem against the Pirates, giving up one run in seven innings en route to another win.
Two great options present themselves for tomorrow, and for drama's sake, let's reveal the second-best option first. Robinson Tejeda has been a machine since being moved to the starting rotation, allowing just nine hits and two runs in 22.1 innings over the span of four starts. He's won the last three of those starts, and now faces the Twins at home. With Minnesota playing well, he ranks just behind our suggested spot start of the day, although I'd definitely make room on my team for both.
Friday's pick is Jon Garland, who has five wins in his last six starts, and the last five of those starts have been quality starts. He doesn't strike a lot of people out, but pitching with the Dodgers' offense at his back has obviously led to a lot of win opportunities, and it has had a positive effect on his pitching. He next goes to Pittsburgh, a team that many pitchers have been beating up on this season. I like Garland's chances to earn another win for the Dodgers -- and for the Stream Team.Stream Team Data
