Categorically Speaking is designed specifically for Rotisserie GMs. The information is great for all fantasy baseball formats, but for those of you who could use some help bolstering a specific roto category, this is for you. We're going to pay close attention to players who might be readily available on your waiver wire or who you might target in non-blockbuster trade talks.It's not too late to make that final push in your fantasy baseball league. Especially in a counting stats category like stolen bases. If a few extra stolen bases would help move you up a slot or two in the standings, by all means grab someone from the waiver wire.
Here are three guys that could help.
Julio Borbon, Rangers - Since being called up, Borbon has stolen 14 bases and has a .323 batting average. Nine of those stolen bases have come in the last month. He scores a lot of runs and hits for a good average. Why don't you grab him and benefit in three rotisserie categories. Borbon is only owned in 16% of fantasy leagues.
Scott Podsednik, White Sox - Podsednik has always had wheels. In fact, he stole 70 bags in 2004. Remember that? His problem is he's never really hit well enough to be relied upon in fantasy baseball. If you need some stolen base help, it's time to rely on Podsednik now. He's stolen nine bases in the past month and is batting .339. He's only owned in 32% of fantasy leagues.
Kazuo Matsui, Astros - What an amazing week Matsui has had. He's batting .423 over that time and has five stolen bases. Factor in his one home run and Matsui has a 1.021 OPS to go along with those stolen bases. Don't expect the OPS figure to stay that high but he's an awesome addition while he's burning on the base paths. Matsui is only owned in 22% of fantasy leagues.
