Looking to cycle spot-starters each day? Check out the Stream Team, where we tab pitchers that are likely to help you in your quest for fantasy gold. We're back to rocking it on the Stream Team. After Vicente Padilla gave up just an unearned run in six innings for a Saturday win, Clay Buchholz went seven innings today while allowing one run in a no-decision. In 13 September starts, we now have 8 wins, a 3.81 ERA, and a 1.18 WHIP. We're also working on an eight-game quality-start streak. I was terrible at picking spot starters at the end of August, but I'm back, baby.
Tomorrow, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not streaming Bronson Arroyo, who's available in two out of every three fantasy leagues. Arroyo is working on a nine-game quality-start streak of his own, posting a sub-2.00 ERA since the beginning of August. And his great performance actually came at the expense of his strikeout numbers. In 59.1 innings in August and September, Arroyo has only 26 Ks.
Since there's a good chance Arroyo's gone in your league, your second option is Jason Hammel. The Rockies pitcher has been ace-like on the road, turning in a 2.93 ERA and 1.21 WHIP away from Coors Field. He goes to San Francisco to take on the Giants, a team that was in a funk before Sunday's game. They have just a .604 OPS in 11 September games, making them the perfect team to stream against. Look for Hammel to be a bit better than his August 30th start in San Francisco, when he went five innings and allowed two runs. The potential for a win is slim, as Tim Lincecum will be on the mound for the Giants.
So, to recap: option No. 1 is Arroyo, and option No. 2 is Hammel. Stream wisely!

You know I'm on the Hammel train... I have Lincecum going against him, but I'll gladly take the Ks and potential win should Lincecum not go all Freak Show on them.
I saw your Buchholz post over the weekend and it made me wonder what leagues people play in where he's available.
Tomorrow I'm going Robinson Tejada, but I may chicken out and sit him if the anything smells fishy.
