Looking to cycle spot-starters each day? Check out the Stream Team, where we tab pitchers that are likely to help you in your quest for fantasy gold.Yesterday, I tabbed Jordan Zimmermann as a good spot-start option for your teams, pegging him for six innings pitched, two earned runs allowed or less, and six strikeouts or more. Little did I know how prescient that prediction would be -- Zimmermann hit those numbers exactly in his afternoon start. Let's mark down the first member of the Stream Team as a success, and move on to tomorrow's best bet.
Like Zimmermann, Kevin Correia was mentioned in the Fantasy Baseball Cram Session today. He's a top-ten pitcher over the last month, and he's ramped up the strikeouts in his last few outings, punching out seven Oakland A's in 6.2 innings on June 21st and nine Texas Rangers in seven innings on June 27th. He coupled that dominance with impeccable control, walking only one batter in each of those two outings.
For tomorrow's start against Houston, I'd expect the Ks to come down a notch, as the Astros do a great job of putting the ball in play. In spacious Petco Park, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Houston hasn't shown a penchant for power this year, ranking near the bottom of the league in HRs, and you really can't expect them to knock multiple HRs out of Petco. Runs will be at a premium, and that works to our pitcher's advantage.
Let's grab Correia for this start and for the future, as it really makes no sense for Correia to be languishing in free agency in many leagues. We're looking at about seven innings from him tomorrow, striking out four or five and allowing one or two runs. I also like him to get the win, which would push him to a 5-1 record in his last six games.

I know how dangerous playing a hunch can be from trying a law case to fantasy baseball. Having so stated,I have big hunch that Manny is going to have a MVP 1/2 season. His owner is very weak on pitching. My pitchers include Grienke, Holliday,Jurens,Meche,Slowey,Kuroda and Garland.
I am right in the middle of a 12 team knowledgable (sic) league. My offense is average at best and I am especially weak in HR and RBI.
I doubt that the owner would settle for anything less then Holliday,Grienke or Pujos who is 1/2 of my hitting.
What do you think about getting Manny for one of the above mentioned three and whether you agree with the trade or not,, in what order would you rank my three studs.
Thanks in advance for any help. Eddie

If you can get Manny for Holliday that would be highway robbery, but if the league is knowledgeable, I doubt the owner would do that.
Greinke for Manny sounds like a good fit and it has a good chance at working. The only problem is that Manny's owner has likely sat on him for the past 50 games and is finally ready to get some stats from him. It might be a tough sell.
I wouldn't trade Albert Pujols for anyone or any combination of players. He's the fantasy MVP.
