Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit: Mixed League Outfielder Rankings

FanHouse positional rankings were compiled by averaging the individual rankings of each member of the Fantasy FanHouse staff.

For as much as Grady Sizemore has done thus far in his career, it's not far-fetched to believe the best is still to come. He's only 26 years old, after all. While the batting average has decreased each of the last two seasons, he still set career highs in home runs, RBI and stolen bases last season. With 35-35 power/speed capability, he's our selection as the top outfielder in fantasy baseball.

• We are well aware we heart Bossman Junior (that's B.J. Upton, kids) more than most 'net portals. We are fully confident in his ability to become an elite player this year.

• Did you know Carl Crawford is only 27 years old? He'll return to the upper echelon with a healthy season. Don't give up on him.

• For all the well-deserved hoopla surrounding the awful contract the Phillies gave to Ibanez, his fantasy value for this season should see a slight spike. He's going from a pitcher's park to a hitter's haven, being surrounded by a much stronger lineup, and moving to the National League. I wouldn't be surprised to see him approach 30 home runs and 120 RBI without hurting you in runs or batting average.

• There's somewhat of a stigma attached to Milledge, and it's a little unfair, frankly. He surpassed 200 at-bats for the first time in his career last year -- when he had 523 -- at age 23. He hit 14 home runs and stole 24 bases. He's going to continue to learn on the fly, and one of these years he's going to pay huge dividends with a power/speed bust-out season. It may not be this year, but it's worth a pick as your fourth outfielder to find out. There's a reason he was picked 12th overall out of high school, after all.

• Adam Lind is an interesting deep sleeper. He's flashed power in the minors and always showed high-average potential. His 2007 go-round in the majors was slightly disastrous, but he had a few solid months last season, and he's still only 25. He's going to get a chance to shine full-time this year, and a breakout is entirely possible with his age and experience level (713 plate appearances).
